2012 Partnership Work Priorities – November 22, 2011

Following are the work priorities agreed to by those in attendance during the 2012 Federal Boulevard Partnership board planning session conducted Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Included with each priority are the names of people who signed up to assist with the activity.

Participants in the planning session included: Carole Vowell, Cindy Snalam, Jerry Guida, Marshall Vanderburg, Linda MacIntyre, Brenda Vasquez, Brooke Bailey, Laurie King, Andy Gorchov, and Bill Johnston.

The planning session began with introductions and discussion of possibly moving the monthly board meeting dates for 2012. It was agreed to move the board meeting date from the third Tuesday of each month to the fourth Tuesday of each month. However, in looking at the Tuesday dates in January, it was determined the fourth Tuesday would not work. The next board meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, 6:00 PM, January 17 at the Stadium District boardroom. Confirming future 2012 board meeting dates will be discussed at the January board meeting. Jerry was absent from meeting.  Account and membership status update will be provided next month.

II. May Board Meetings Notes

May board meeting notes were approved and unanimously approved by all Board members in attendance.

III. Project Notes

June 15th at 6:30 PM is rescheduled date & time for Streetscape Design Public Presentation meeting.  Meeting location change required and decision on location will be made shortly.

  • Committee has been meeting diligently and has twelve (12) conceptual designs which will be presented to the public and feedback solicited on them. (more…)

Federal Boulevard Monthly Board Meeting Notes

I. Bank Account & Membership Status

  • Balance at end of April $ 1,126.53 not including $ 1,000 grant received from neighborhood resource center.
  • 35 total members year to date.
  • Donations of $40 received through Paypal.

II. April Board Meetings Notes

April board meeting notes were approved and unanimously approved by all Board members in attendance.

III. Project Notes

  • Streetscape Design Meeting Notes from April 27th meeting
  • May 25th Design Meeting for Streetscape Project scheduled for t 3:30 PM at JVA (Marshall’s Office).
  • June 15th at 6:30 PM is rescheduled date & time for Streetscape Design Public Presentation meeting. Meeting will take place at Adams Playhouse on Federal Boulevard.
  • Linda initiated conversation regarding application of “gateway” design elements in locations on Federal Boulevard. Following discussion of this Marshall recommended that this be part of the June 15th Streetscape Design Public Presentation. (more…)

Received streetscape grant from City for $1k – Marshall will mail to Jerry (support reports and other related work)

Food at streetscape meeting @ Adams

Constant Contact newsletter format expenses $20/mo (limited graphics @ $15/mo) – keep this service?  $240/yr seems reasonable, can cancel/upgrade at any time.  Upload FBP contact list and monitor e-mail contact rate.  Only one person unsubscribed.  Initial set-up complete, faster for future newsletters.  Could charge costs to grant for streetscape items.  Motion:  try through the end of 2011.  Kathy moves, Joanne seconds.  Vote: 7-0 (more…)
